MALP is excited to announce we will have a tour of The Merwin Conservancy for members.
The Merwin Conservancy’s mission is to “preserve the living legacy of W.S. Merwin, his home and palm forest, for future retreat and study for botanists and writers, for environmental advocacy and community education.”. During his travels throughout the world, he has collected almost 500 species of palms. They are all currently on display in his Haiku retreat, where they stand as a living collection for future generations to study and admire. For more information on W.S. Merwin, a Pulitzer Prize winning author and distinguished Poet Laureate, visit the website at www.merwinconservancy.org.
Come for a tour of this amazing collection!
