We have a fundraising event coming up on Cinco De Mayo Day (May 5th) at Chef Paris Nabavi’s newest restaurant Sangrita Mexican Grill & Cantina. I would like to ask you if you can help us get the word out to your friends, members, and supporters who may be interested in helping our Agriculture & Future Farmers of America program. Chef Paris will donate a % of the sales on Cinco De Mayo Day to support our students and our school farm. Last year, at Cilantro restaurant, we raised $600. This year, with Chef Paris’s larger restaurant with a more extensive menu and drinks selection, we hope to reach our goal of raising $1,000 or more.
Come celebrate Sangrita’s Grand Opening at our first annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration!
Live Flamenco music of Indio and Avi, a special tenderloin fajita plate in addition to the regular menu, and happy hour cantina prices. A benefit for Lahainaluna High School Agricultural Program.
About The Lahainaluna High School Agriculture Program
The Lahainaluna High School Agriculture Program’s mission is to help our community grow the next generation of young farmers. They stress hands-on learning, community service, internships, and work experience activities to help students be college and career-ready. In addition, they provide assistance to Maui’s school gardens with plant donations and volunteer work. Sangrita Grill + Cantina uses cilantro purchased from The Lahainaluna High School’s farm and garden, and in the upcoming year hopes to expand that to chili peppers, limes, figs, rosemary, avocados, and more.
