Janice Uchida has been working with fungal pathogens for over 25 years in Hawaii and has worked on many crops including orchids, tropicals such as heliconias, foliage plants and landscape plants.
Dr. Hara specializes on pre-harvest and postharvest control treatments in a systems approach to quarantine security to meet stringent interstate and foreign quarantine regulations. Some of his research accomplishments include the development of postharvest heat treatments to control quarantine pests, which provides pest--free, high quality flowers and foliage for export.Dr. John J. Cho is a retired professor of Plant Pathology with the University of Hawaii. He has over 35 years of experience researching and educating about plant pathology in the University of Hawaii System.
