The Maui Association of Landscape Professionals (MALP) is looking for proposals from you for its first ARTSCAPES Living Art Exhibition to be featured at the 15th annual Maui Lawn and Garden Fair. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4th, 2010, from 9-2 at the University of Hawaii Maui College.
“MALP has wanted to hold a living art exhibition for some time,” says Gary Mohrlang, President of MALP. “This year everything came together, so the show is on! We just need to get the word out to Maui’s talented designers and artists.”
Exhibitors will create their designs within a 15′ x 15′ space outside, near the UH greenhouse, where the Lawn and Garden Fair will be held. Entries can include water features, moving parts, or whatever the artists can conceive, as long as at least 30% of the materials are plants. Judges will award prize money for the top three entries , and the public will be invited to pick its favorite as well.
For more information about submitting a proposal for the competition, contact Gary Mohrlang at 808 298-8413, firstname.lastname@example.org
Proposals are due October 31.
